THE LOQUET BAG by SUBDIVISE X BONASTRE

“Time respects nothing that is done without it.” — Georges Bernanos.
When we discovered Stéphane Lemaître and and his atelier - Subdivise, it immediately felt natural: we wanted to create a project together. His work embodies the nobility of craftsmanship, carrying the essential values of leatherworking — traditional know-how, hand-stitched production, the very essence of slow, durable, and local creation.
We visited his workshop, nestled in a small village in the Loire, six hours from Paris, in the heart of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. An ultra-artisanal universe where every gesture, passed down through millennia of practice, brings the material to life. His approach to leather is inspiring, sincere, and deeply rooted in tradition.
For us, collaborating with him is a way to honor this craft and assert a clear stance against the globalisation of fast fashion. It echoes our vision of true luxury: the time, expertise, and attention devoted to an object.
This is how the LOQUET BAG was born — the model we present here: an all-leather case designed to carry daily essentials, worn on the shoulder or as a crossbody. It opens with a beautiful leather locking system. The exterior is made from raw, natural leather, with no altriification or surface treatment, and lined with lambskin. All stitching is done by hand, using the traditional saddle stitch with linen thread.
A simple, essential piece, shaped with the time it deserves — where tradition, precision, and a sustainable vision shape timeless bags, entirely handmade by master artisans.
